“My biggest dream is to play in the Women’s Super League, that would be great!!” says young Crazy Catch super fan Antonia Smith

When Antonia Smith first used a Crazy Catch at the Football Grass Roots show in 2011, she knew it was a product that she simply must have!!  At the show, she was constantly using the product and spent the whole day on our stand, working on her first touch and control and seeing how many keepy uppies she could do.

Managing Director, Richard Beghin and Antonia who was 13 at the time, soon struck up a great rapour and Crazy Catch have kept in touch. Fast forward to the present and Antonia is now part of the Birmingham City Ladies FC Centre of Excellence program and this season has been one of the stars of their all conquering U17’s side.

Antonia said “This year has been great and one of my favourite seasons so far… we are in the race for the title with only one game to go so hopefully we will win our last game!! We haven’t lost a game all season and played some big teams. Birmingham City Ladies U17’s beat Arsenal ladies U17’s twice, home and away (This has never been done before). Playing as a CDM I am happy to say that I have assisted most goals that my team have scored, only scoring 1 myself. I am really excited about my trip to Sweden I have in July this year and hopefully Birmingham City Ladies U17s will come back as Gothia Cup Champions. My biggest dream is to play in the Women’s Super League, that would be great!!

The support and encouragement the Crazy Catch team has giving me is massively appreciated, From that first day at the Grass Roots show where I had a go on the Crazy Catch I knew it was for me. Now my touch is of a very high standard and that’s due to Crazy Catch and how much it has helped me with my reactions and all round game.  I can ensure you that at every chance possible I give everyone of my football team Birmingham City Ladies a lecture on how good the crazy catch is!! I love it!!”

There will be another blog about this oung footballing star when we hand deliver her presents for her Sweden trip… watch this space!

Last year the Crazy Catch Freestyle was awarded Highly Commended but MD Richard Beghin is just pleased to be in such illustrious company. “Flicx UK are thrilled to be nominated once again for the Sports Trade Awards. It’s been a really busy year for our small team but with the successful launch of the 2G Flicx Pitch, massive Crazy Catch sales increases as well as taking on RESPONSEBALL brand – it’s been a very good one. Winning would just be the icing on the cake”

#FIELDINGFUN … Week 7 – “My Best Catch”

This week in #fieldingfun its pat yourself on the back time… We want to know about your “Best Catch” in all its glory!!! (with the finest details!!!) Any video or photos do share them with us with the hashtag #fieldingfun. To get things started Nico has recounted his “Best Catch” …

In typical ‘Nico’ style, he couldn’t leave the game quietly! Paul helped Leicestershire to a dramatic T20 finals day win, beating Lancashire after a super over in the semi-final, before an 18-run win over Somerset in the final, thanks in no small part to Paul’s remarkable catch to dismiss danger man Kieron Pollard

Crazy Catch – “It is Awesome”

We just loved this tweet from so much so that we thought we would make it into a blog entry!

Crazy Catch is just as much aimed at kids, having fun and improving their skills in the back garden as it is for professional athletes at the top of their game. It’s amazing how addictive throwing a ball onto a INSANE net can be but it is!! Trust us – the Crazy Catch will provide hours of entertainment for all ages and abilities. Keep having fun and do tweet us your photos! We are  … you can find us on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest too

#FIELDINGFUN – Week 6 … Mates Rotate

It’s week 6 of #fieldingfun with a great little drill which is perfect to play with your friends called “Mates Rotate”. Nico explains…

As you can see from the video its very simple drill to set up and play and you can add to the challenge by having 3 lives each, losing one if you drop a catch. This works really well with large groups as eventually as the numbers decrease it makes it more difficult to get round the Crazy Catch for your next go! You can play this game with any ball so it works just as well as a practice in your football or netball training and is a great active warm up game to get your heart rate up and your reactions sharp. Why not have a go in the garden this weekend…

We have used the Crazy Catch Wildchild classic in this demonstration but any model would also do the same job. We would recommend the Wildchild Double Trouble for football and netball as it has larger netting on one side so even with a larger ball, makes an INSANE rebound.
