On Saturday, Crazy Catch headed up to Finch Farm for the PG10 / Neville Southall goalkeeper development day. 80 keepers from across the country took part in a full day of activities at Everton including a behind the scenes tour of the training ground, a training session before heading to Goodison Park to watch Everton v Swansea City 0-0 stalemate.
As part of the 8 goalkeeping stations, Crazy Catch were on hand to run the Crazy Catch zone which gave the keepers a chance to test out the Crazy Catch Double Trouble range of rebound nets for Football working on their handling, shot stopping and also on claiming high balls with the help of Crazy Catches guest coach Tony ONeil, director of ‘Keep Goal’ Goalkeeping coaching.
Crazy Catch has become a key part of the goalkeeper training kit at Everton with the first team right down to the younger age groups using it on a daily basis with the outfield players also now including it in some of their sessions too. Speaking after the event, Keith Rees one of the keeper coaches, who helped to plan the day said “We would.like to take the opportunity to say thanks to you all for the effort and commitment you gave to making the Neville Southhall GK day such a huge success at the academy”
