I’m sure there are plenty of you who like to have a kick about in the back garden but, even if you have a few mates over to join in, the casual kick about can quickly become very repetitive and dull. However, help is on hand as Crazy Catch have the perfect solution to add a bit of fun and variety to any back garden football game, regardless if you’re playing by yourself or in a group.
Due to its INSANE rebound, Crazy Catch is brilliant for practising and developing your first touch and volleying skills. The unpredictable nature of the INSANE side means no two balls will come back in the same way, therefore, your reactions and your touch are constantly tested. This also makes it a great training aid for goalkeepers. The Crazy Catch range is also extremely quick and easy to set up, so won’t take away any of your precious footy time, and it is portable, so can just as easily be taken to the park or beach.
Make sure you choose the Crazy Catch Double Trouble range for big ball sports like football. Although similar in appearance to the Classic range, the DT range features two INSANE rebound sides (one for a small ball and one for a large ball) so double the trouble. The Upstart is the smallest Crazy Catch in the DT range, followed by the Wildchild, which is our most popular model, and finally the Professional, which is ideal for clubs and schools. The Freestyle is the only hand held Crazy Catch and a great coaching aid.
Crazy Catch is available from all leading football and sports retailers – improve your skills today!
Think Outside the Box hockey is a set of new, innovative drills from Crazy Catch, specifically created with hockey in mind. Featuring Ireland’s David Harte, in total there are five drills for both goalkeepers and outfield players to use, although there are many more drills that can be developed from these five.

The main benefit of using Crazy Catch for hockey is the variety and fun it can add to your training or practice. By using both the SANE and INSANE rebound sides, it is far easier to test your ability and skill levels and simulate match conditions. The unpredictability of the INSANE side provides a great test for any goalkeeper looking to challenge their reactions and saving capabilities, whilst outfield players can develop and improve their first touch, particularly at taking the ball from the air.
For small ball sports, like hockey, the Crazy Catch Classic range is the recommended choice, as can be seen in the above videos. The Upstart is the smallest Crazy Catch in the Classic range, followed by the Wildchild, which is our most popular model, and finally the Professional, which is ideal for clubs and schools. The Freestyle is the only hand held Crazy Catch and a great coaching aid.

Sasha set up the competition in conjunction with Crazy Catch UK as part of her Solo Sessions campaign, fun and informative videos designed for netballers to be able to practice drills and hone their skills by themselves.
Sasha said: “I set up Solo Sessions so fellow netballers could have a fun way to practice outside team training sessions, and one great way is to use a Crazy Catch. We had such a positive response to the videos on social media, I decided to set up a competition so one lucky follower could win their very own Crazy Catch and I could give them some tips that would hopefully help them with their game.”
The competition was open to everyone at all levels of ability and eventual winner, Jenna Hadley, was picked by random out of hat and announced via Sasha’s Solo Session channels. The session took place at the Grasshoppers local training venue, Haden Hill Leisure Centre.
Sasha added: “I had a fantastic time with Jenna, it was great for the prize to go to someone that really wanted it. We had so much fun looking at how we could improve her skills and incorporate the Crazy Catch into drills she can practice at home. Jenna had fantastic energy and I wish her, and her team, the best of luck for the rest of the season.”
Jenna commented: “I was completely overwhelmed, and very excited, to find out I had won the session with Sasha. I still don’t think it has sunk in. I only started playing netball in 2014 by attending Back to Netball, so it was such a useful session to learn some key skills and get lots of ideas for training.
“We went through lots of basics, and Sasha definitely made me work, but she was great coach and very patient with me. It was truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn from someone so talented to get better at something that you love to do! I had a brilliant time and it will be something I’ll remember forever.”

Olympic Champion Maddie Hinch is launching her own goalkeeping camps today under the MH1 brand and Crazy Catch are delighted to be partnering with the events, hosted at Oaklands College (29,30,31st July).
Crazy Catch have been linked with Hinch for the last couple of years, producing various inspirational training videos including in the run up to Rio with fellow FIH goalkeeper of the year David Harte and the brilliant Self Pass. Both Maddie and David use Crazy Catch in their training sessions to develop agility, reactions and to add fun and variety to their sessions. As part of our sponsorship of the MH1 camps, Crazy Catch will be used extensively whilst there will also be a special goalkeeping Facebook live on Monday at 2:10pm where fans can ask questions about Maddie’s training regime, goalkeeping tips, Crazy Catch drill suggestions and advice on making it to the top.
On launching the camps, Maddie Hinch said: “I wanted to create a hockey camp with a sole focus on goalkeeping skills. I hope that this is just the beginning of developing a recognised and leading brand of goalkeeping courses that can be rolled out across the country. I want all ages and abilities to have the opportunity to learn and develop goalkeeping skills with some of the top coaches in the country. For me, seeing people pick up a stick and want to participate in hockey makes everything I do worthwhile.”
From Crazy Catch Marketing Manger Kate Costin said ” We are delighted to support Maddie’s first venture into coaching. Crazy Catch is used by many of the world’s top hockey players and teams to improve their skills with its unique INSANE netting making training fun and challenging so its great to bring this experience to the MH1 camps whilst our facebook live session will allow those hockey fans who were unable to attend, still to get involved.
Follow us on social media for photos and actions from the camps and also to tune into the Facebook Live. Post your questions in advance and the best ones will be answered by Maddie on Monday…
