#ReindeerTraining episode six: Crazy Catch for rugby with Will Greenwood and Austin Healey

Next up to try their hand at #ReindeerTraining are England Rugby legends Will Greenwood and Austin Healey. Will and Austin are on hand to help the Crazy Catch reindeer pack the sleigh in time for Christmas – using Crazy Catch to make it quicker and much more fun.

Crazy Catch is becoming more and more popular in Rugby. It was used as a vision training tool by Sir Clive Woodward’s Rugby World Cup winning side of 2003, plus also as a reaction training aid by the likes of Saracens and France whilst Quins have been using it for player injury rehabilitation. The unique thing about the product is its INSANE netting which makes the rebound very unpredictable, perfect for developing handling skills and passing accuracy.

Both Will and Austin’s families love the Crazy Catch … having seen it in action at Sportfest. Will was triumphant in the head to head One Minute Challenge in 2014 but injury hampered him this year … so let’s say its 1-1 and champion to be decided once and for all at the 2016 Sportfest!!

Crazy Catch is the Ultimate Rebound Net and a great Christmas gift for sports people of all age and ability!

Crazy Catch at SportFest14 #fun #families #sport

What a fantastic weekend we have just had SportFest 2014 held down at Wormsley – a truely great event for all the family giving children aged 5 to 16 the chance to discover the enjoyment and fulfilment sport can bring. The brainchild of rugby legends Will Greenwood and Austin Healey, SportFest provides a unique opportunity for children to learn new skills and sports and best of all be inspired by true sporting legends including Pat Cash, John Barnes, Martin Johnson, Paul Nixon, Sarah Thomas, Andrew Strauss and Matthew Hoggard.

Crazy Catch were delighted to supply rebound nets into a number of the different sporting zones to enable skills to be refined and developed whilst still having fun and being challenged by the unpredictable rebounds.

We also set up our famous 1 minute challenge in which Will Greenwood top scored over the weekend with 62 catches in a minute. We also had Crazy Catches on sale throughout the weekend so a number of families have been able to continue the SportFest fun back at home.

Crazy Catch is a great way to improve your skills and have fun whatever your sport as the photos and videos in this blog demonstrate so well. We look forward to bigger and better things still at SportFest15 … Any sporty families, you have just got to be there!! Great job and many thanks to the organisers Ed, Polly and the Super Skills team.

Family Fun with Crazy Catch at Sport Fest 2013

Crazy Catch were honoured to be part of the 1st ever SportFest held recently at Wormsley Cricket ground which was the brain child of England rugby legends Will Greenwood and Austin Healey and the team at Super Skills Experiences.

SportFest is a celebration of family fun and sport where you can camp out in the beautiful Wormsley Estate, and enjoy coaching with sporting legends, music, great food and competitions. Crazy Catch were delighted to be invited by Gary Johnson owner of Hurricane Sports ,who were running the Hockey Zone, to bring the Ultimate Rebound Net along and run a series of drills and fun games. These hockey drills focused on control, first touch, 3d skills and aerials in addition to popular games you can play with Crazy Catch such as Crazy Ball and the 1 minute challege. Great fun was had by all including Austin Healey who joined the parents match and Gold Medal winning Olympian Kath Grainer who famously supported the GB Hockey squads in London after her triumphant success at Eton Dorney.

In addition the Crazy Catch Freestyle was used in the Cricket Zone by Mark Garaway and guest coach Dean Headley. Other famous faces at the end included Martin Johnson, Andrew Strauss, and Tim Henman and even the rain couldn’t dampen spirits with everyone enjoying all the sports and entertainment on offer. We look forward to Sport Fest 2014 and working more in the future with the great “Hockey Maker” team at Hurricane Sports. To see what fun you missed out on do check out the event video below !!!
